These charts are 4K and they are being captured with Viper in cinemascope mode (2,35:1). Viper in this mode has a center resolution of 1440 lines (yes very close to REDONE, when compared in the same mode, 4K cropped cinemascope).
The SGblade was setup with Rotorazor 2, the relay was on Full frame 35 frame size and the front lens was Zeiss ZF 50mm F2 macro. The Canon HD lens was the HD-HC 11x4,7 KKL-SC III Cinestyle zoom lens. The aperture of every frame is stated on the images. RL is the relay aperture and ZF is the front lens aperture.
The Zeiss lens introduces a slight vignette due to the design of it (it’s a macro lens) and the extreme frame size which is FF35.
In these stills on the center, the resolution of the system GG.relay/SGblade/Zeiss surpasses the Canon HD lens (this is the top of the line CineStyle Canon lens), by at least 300 lines in vertical resolution!!!
Additionally have in mind that in FF35 the front lenses are reaching their limit, to get more than 1000 in the corners is already an outstanding achievement!!!
GG.relay is the only relay on the market that is being tested and verified in such an extremely high resolution.
Lastly GG.relay is the only Full frame 35 2/3 B4 mount relay that exists… |
